This week's "Beauty Look of the Week"
This is one of my favorite looks on Miley Cyrus. This was her pre short bleach blonde hair phase and post her long carmel colored hair. I think this is when Miley looked her best and was at prime in her career. This picture was taken at an event in Australia in 2012.
Now let's get down to business and discuss the look! First off I love the hairstyle on her. What a perfect cut and color especially for Summertime. If you are thinking about going short, but don't want to do the overrated stacked haircut then go for right below your shoulders. This hairstyle pictured on Miley even has some layers in the front to frame her face and add texture as well. This length is perfect for someone who wants to go short but scared to go too short to where you can't pull it up in a bun or ponytail.
Next, my absolute favorite part of this look is her makeup. Not only is her skin glowing but she looks like a million bucks. Her brows are perfectly groomed and even have some thickness to them which just adds to her youthfulness. I love how she didn't go overboard with the makeup and just kept it simple and classy. A big misconception is that the more makeup you where the better it looks! This is yes and no......this makeup look Miley has on now is just enough and isn't overpowering her and is making her look so fresh and youthful.

First let's start off with skincare. An easy way to get glowing skin is using an exfoliant weekly. Merle Norman has a great selection of exfoliants to help slough off dead skin cells to expose new ones, which makes your skin glow. Now to the makeup for this look be sure to stick with a lightweight foundation like MN's Sheer Defense Tinted Moisturizer to give a sheer coverage. Dual-Action Concealer can be used underneath the eyes to help reduce puffiness or on any dark spots or blemishes to conceal those. Mn's Mineral Loose Powder is a great way to set your makeup. The mineral powder gives a fresh and youthful look like Miley has above. The minerals give an instant glow to your skin that makes your skin instantly look glowing and healthy. For cheek color stick with a basic light pink like our Sheer Desire Lasting Cheekcolor. Apply the cheekcolor on the apples of the cheeks to achieve a fresh look. This look requires little eye makeup. Start with a base color all over the lid all the way up to underneath the brow. MN's Lasting Eyeshadow in Bare works great as a base shadow and it instantly brightens the eye area. Next apply a little shimmer on the lid in our Luminous Eyeshadow in Vanilla Mousse to brighten the eyes. Lightly line the outside corners of your eyes on the top and lower lash lines with an eyeliner in black. MN's Soft Touch Eyeliner in Black Onyx works great to add just a bit of color. Next apply lots and lots of mascara! Miley has great lashes in this photo. False lashes can always be an option but if you are opting to use your own then be sure to apply at least 2 coats of mascara. MN's Lashlift Waterproof Mascara and Supreme Mascara work great to lift and make lashes seem fuller. Lips are simple. Be sure to keep them moisturized! MN's Lip Conditioner is a great way to keep your lips full of moisture plus keep them protected from the sun. For lipcolor, a simple Lip Polish in Shy will do for a classy nude lip shown on Miley.
